and popular actors were featured in News18's blockbuster event Showreel. Kartik
Aaryan was the first to attend the event where he talked about his films and
struggles in the industry. The film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 became a super hit at the
box office. He said at the event, “Whether it is my hits or failures,
everything is my decision. I am proud of my journey and my decisions. This year
has been a big game-changer for me. I just have to entertain the audience and
work now.” He also shared the fact that people wanted Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 to be
released on OTT but he didn't agree to it.
Talking about coming to
Mumbai to make his dream come true, Kartik said “My parents are doctors, their
dream was that I should also become a doctor or engineer. If I had told them
directly that I wanted to become an actor, my family would never have allowed
it. So, I found a way to travel to Mumbai on the pretext of an engineering
entrance exam. I used to go for auditions about 2 times a week. The first
audition was cracked after a year and a half. I remember I got a check for Rs
1500 after being successful in that audition.”
Next in the line was the
action star of Bollywood Vidyut Jammwal, who has made a place in the heart of
India through his martial arts prowess. Jammwal, who is known for his sculpted
physique, also talked about discipline with the people at the event. Sharing
about his childhood and learning the martial art of Kalaripayattu, Vidyut said,
“My father was in the army and if your parents do a government job then you
know that you get a chance to travel across the country. That is how I got to
know about Kalari and learned it. I have lived in Kerala and also in very small
places in the country.”

Thakur also graced the event and shared stories about her journey saying, “I
used to bunk college and go for auditions. Due to this, attendance in the

in the journey that I have been through, from Super 30 to Sita Ramam, I am very
proud of it.”

Verma engaged in a candid chat and shared, “The plan I had made to run away
from home, and I made the best plan for it. I confirmed the seat in the film
school, arranged the fees, and arranged the expenses for the month. After that,
I took my mother's permission and ran away without informing my father.”

shared her experience of appearing for her first audition for her first film
Shuddh Desi Romance. Remembering her first encounter with Shanoo Sharma for an
audition, Vaani said, “She made me dance for 2 hours and I do not know why.
There was also a time when she used to call me to the salon where she was
getting pedicures done. Then she would tell me, ‘Let's say the line, let's
act.’ I understood that she is trying to open me up to the people. she wanted
to ease my hesitation, as I am an introvert by nature.”
