55 million views on Prithviraj Trailer in 24 Hours

The highly anticipated trailer of ‘Prithviraj’, YRF’s first ever historical starring the versatile actor Akshay Kumar and stunning Manushi Chhillar, has been trending worldwide since its release. Within just 24 hours of its grand launch event at YRF Studios in the presence of media and fans, the trailer has created a massive buzz and has galloped past 55+ million views across all three languages (Hindi, Tamil, Telugu) on YouTube and Facebook.

 

During the trailer launch event Akshay Kumar quoted, “I want everyone to watch the story of Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan. When I was narrated the film, I had goosebumps through the narration and immediately said yes to the project because the script blew me away. It is an outstanding script, a true find that brings together history, patriotism, portrayal of the values that we should live by and also tells a story of love that is extremely rare to find.”

 

Within few hours of the release, the trailer of the cinematic brilliance was trending at No. 1 on YouTube. It has been getting rave reviews, with some users calling it a blockbuster trailer and a potential ‘box office record breaker’.

 

PRITHVIRAJ based on the life and heroism of the mighty warrior Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan has superstar Akshay Kumar playing the titular role. The gorgeous Manushi Chhillar, who makes her debut with the film, is portraying the gorgeous princess Sanyogita – Prithviraj’s lady love.

 

The ensemble cast includes Sanjay Dutt and Sonu Sood, who play pivotal roles of Kaka Kanha and Chand Vardai respectively. Baba Play announces ‘Ambedkar The Legend’ a biopic series starring veteran Vikram Gokhale

 

India’s first-ever social media entertainment app and OTT platform aligning with Ambedkar ideology - Baba Play who recently announced an upcoming film ‘Quota- The Reservation’ starring actor Anirudh Dave in the lead comes with another exciting announcement. A biopic series on the legendary life of India’s greatest reform leader Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. Unlike a series seen ever before, this biopic will throw light on rarely known facts about the exemplary leader. The series ‘Ambedkar The Legend’ will showcase events in the life of Dr. Ambedkar that have shaped him into a leader that changed the face of India.

 

The role of Dr. Ambedkar will be played by legendary Marathi & Hindi film actor Vikram Gokhale. This year the death anniversary of Dr. Ambedkar i.e. 6th December, 2021, will be an ode to the memory of the chief architect of India’s constitution. Baba Play will make this happen through the launch of the series ‘Ambedkar The Legend’.

 

Dr. Ambedkar is often titled as the chief architect of India’s constitution or a Dalit leader but in reality he is the face of women empowerment in India. His work has revolutionized equal rights for women in the society. He played a key role in the discussions leading up to independence, for example as one of the two Untouchable delegates chosen by the British to attend the Round Table conferences on India’s constitutional status in the early 1930s. Untouchables were not the only depressed classes of the society who were uplifted by Dr. Ambedkar’s work. He also worked towards reducing, socio-economic differences in India. He truly became the leader that navigated India towards a mindset shift promoting equality and inclusiveness.

 

The web series is a presentation of writer, producer and director Sanjiv Jaiswal. He is known for his films like Fareb, Anwar, Shudra - The Rising, Pranaam. After receiving immense response from the audience on the recent announcement of the film ‘Quota- The Reservation’ a real life story of a Dalit student. ‘Quota- The Reservation’ starring Anirudh Dave Inspired By True Incidents Of Discrimination With Dalit Students On Baba Play

 

The revolutionary digital social platform Baba Play, that honours the ideology of Baba Saheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar is all set to launch the upcoming thriller film Quota starring Anirudh Dave. The film addresses the looming social evil of casteism. Baba Play being an Indian social media entertainment app with an aim is to awaken the society through entertainment and to spread the thoughts of Baba Saheb to the country and the world, this film fits the vision of the platform.

 

Quota is a story of a first-year Dalit student who faces severe discrimination at hands of an upper caste student. The physical abuse leaves a scar on the student but the system of utter negligence and purposeful targeting of lower caste students further pushes him to take drastic steps. His actions lead to an uprising among Dalit students who fight for justice.

 

The film is a presentation of writer, producer and director Sanjiv Jaiswal. He is known for his debut film Fareb directed by Deepak Tijori, starring Shilpa Shetty, Manoj Bajpayee and Shamita Shetty. His film Anwar, written and directed by Manish Jha. He became a recognized entity of the Dalit society after the controversy that arose after his first directorial movie Shudra - The Rising. Millions of the Ambedkarites joined in support of the film’s release and Shudra reached the theatres. His recent success Pranaam starring Rajeev Khandelwal, Vikram Gokhle, Atul Kulkarni, and Abhimanyu Singh is among his most discussed works. Jaiswal envisions that his social media and entertainment platform Baba Play will become a platform that will take the Ambedkarite thoughts to the world.

 

The Writer-Director, Sanjiv Jaiswal says that “Now the country has its very own social media platform dedicated to Ambedkarites. This will be the instrument of massive change and films like Quota are pivotal to this change. Lead actor Anirudh Dave who plays Dalit student Saurabh Rawat, the victim of casteism, is thrilled to take a meaningful story to the audience through the Baba Play platform. Garima Kapoor who will be debuting as the female lead, plays the role of a Dalit medical student who is also Asia's fastest rider. Ecstatic about her debut she says, “I am absolutely thrilled to be a leading actor in a story that is socially hard hitting. The film truly depicts the casteism that is wrecking our society from within. The temple of knowledge is also not a safe haven for students today, and this has to change. I am glad that I will be able to voice such an important tale through my work.”

 

Aditya Om, who is one of the popular faces from South Indian films, will be playing the role of a youth leader who is fighting against casteism in the film Quota. Aditya Om has been quite the name in South Indian films for his acting, writing skills and film direction talent.
