The much-awaited trailer of the film ‘Vishwa Guru Jai Sri
Ramanuj’, based on the life of the revered Indian philosopher and social
reformer Shri Ramanujacharya, was launched in Mumbai amidst much fanfare. Known
for propagating the Vishishtadvaita philosophy, Ramanujacharya authored
significant texts like Sri Bhashya and Vedanta Sangraham.
The event witnessed the presence of actor Dr. Lion Sai
Venkat, who plays an incredible 13 roles in the film, along with Bigg Boss fame
Saurabh Kumar, Telugu actress Kajal, Padma, who portrays Goddess Lakshmi, and
renowned filmmaker Shiva Kumar. Other prominent personalities from the film
industry also graced the occasion.
Produced under the Sudarshanam Productions banner, the film
is helmed by Dr. Lion Sai Venkat, who has also penned the story and screenplay.
Dialogues are by Pravalika and Harsha, while music is composed by Jayasurya,
Venkat, and Harsha, with lyrics by Santosh Prasad. The soulful voices of Padma,
Prasanna, and Pravalika bring the film’s devotional songs to life.
The nearly four-minute trailer begins with the resonating
sound of a conch, accompanied by a voiceover introducing Shri Ramanuj as the
eternal keeper of cosmic knowledge. The visuals open with Shri Ramanuj
meditating in a serene forest, where his divine aura protects him from
disturbances. The trailer then transitions to scenes of Shri Ramanuj delivering
sermons and referencing Tirumala Hills. Notably, the trailer features a clip of
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, adding a contemporary layer to the narrative.
A striking sequence showcases an ancient idol of Lord Vishnu
reclining on Sheshnag, with the chanting of “Shantakaram Bhujagashayanam
Padmanabham Suresham,” creating a captivating spiritual ambiance. Another
devotional song highlights all incarnations of Lord Vishnu, while the depiction
of Shri Ramanuj's conflict with a Delhi Sultan adds a dramatic and historical
dimension to the film.
Responding to media questions at the event, Dr. Lion Sai
Venkat shared his vision behind the film. “The life of Shri Ramanujacharya is
an inspiration for all of us. However, the younger generation is often unaware
of his teachings and contributions. Through this film, I aim to bridge that gap
and introduce his principles to today’s youth. I believe this project was
divinely inspired, and I am merely executing the will of God. With the film now
in post-production, we are preparing for a global release in March 2025 across
five languages.”
Shot in iconic locations like Ramoji Film City Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and the picturesque Tirumala Hills, ‘Vishwa Guru Jai Sri Ramanuj’ will release worldwide in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Sanskrit, and Hindi, bringing this remarkable story to audiences far and wide.
