All the performances by the young participants during this special episode were dedicated to the late legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar who passed away recently, and we have to say the acts left everyone teary-eyed during the shoot. In fact, the enchanting performance by Antara and Atharv to Ajeeb Dastaan Hai Ye and Tujhse Naraz Nahi Zindagi made guest Amar Haldipur and everyone on the sets of Swarna Swar Bharat extremely emotional. With everyone remembering the late musician, Amar ji mentioned how the legendary Lata Mangeshkar was the one who took Indian Music to new heights. Judge Suresh Wadkar also went on to pay a special tribute to the great Lata Mangeshkar by singing some of her most evergreen songs including the likes of Rula Ke Gaya Sapna Mera, Tumhein Yaad Karte Karte, and Mai Ri Main Kase Kahoon. He even revealed how she was his support system, especially at the beginning of his career and what made all the artists admire her!

Reminiscing his memories of Lata Mangeshkar, Amar Haldipur mentioned, “Lata ji took Indian music to new heights, and she was the one who taught everyone what music really was! The big void that she has left in our hearts can never be filled, but her music will live on forever. I must mention that she was a legendary singer and whenever she used to visit the sets for recording music, the ambiance used to change. We always saw her as an epitome of Saraswati Maa, and we’ll miss her dearly.”

While paying a tribute to Lata Mangeshkar, Suresh Wadkar added, “I have always said that whoever I am today, it is only because of Ravindra Jain Sahab. He had given me my first break. If he had never supported me, I would not be where I am today. But having said that, I must reveal that Lata didi was the one who introduced me to various other music directors. I remember very clearly how she used to call all the popular music directors, like Naushad Saheb, Laxmi Narayan Pyarelal, Pancham Da and she would always recommend me. She was my support system when I decided to enter the music industry. In fact, when I was first introduced to her, she was so happy knowing that I belonged to Kolhapur. I must say that she really used to care about her fellow artists, and that’s why she was so loved, respected and cared by everyone on the sets.”

To witness the heartwarming tribute to the legendary singer, Lata Mangeshkar, tune into Swarna Swar Bharat this Saturday at 8 pm, only on Zee TV!
