The famed adamantium claws have spoken as the hugely anticipated superhero flick THE WOLVERINE has bagged a bumper opening in the Indian market as well as internationally!
Ripping out its local competition, Fox Star Studios’s Hugh Jackman starrer The Wolverine which released on 26th July has garnered an astounding RS 15 Crores gross (RS 10.5 Crores Net) in its opening weekend, claiming the no 1 spot!
What’s more, the Indian opening ranks at the 3rd position in the Asia Pacific market and 10th internationally.
The Wolverine opening weekend also ranks as the 3rd highest of all time for a Fox Star Studios Hollywood title after Avatar & Life of Pi. The opening weekend is the highest by far in the X-Men franchise and the weekend nos. itself exceeds the lifetime gross of all previous X-Men titles with the exception of X-Men: First Class.
