Purple Pebble Pictures’ maiden Sikkimese film
Pahuna – The Little Visitors will be releasing on 7th
December, 2018.
Pahuna-The Little Visitors is a courageous story
of three children bonding together and making a new home for themselves after
being separated from their parents while fleeing Nepal during an unrest.
Even before its release, the inspiring film has
been making waves at the global level having won several awards and accolades.
The movie received a thunderous applause and an overwhelming response at the
World Premiere of the film at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF)
last year followed by a special screening at Indian Kaleidoscope Film Festival
in New York.
Produced by Priyanka Chopra and Dr. Madhu Chopra,
Co-produced by Children’s Film Society,
India (CFSI), and directed by Paakhi A Tyrewala, the first look of Pahuna-The
Little Visitors was unveiled at the Cannes Film Festival in May last year.
Making India proud internationally, Pahuna – The
Little Visitors has recently bagged two prestigious awards – 'Best Film (Jury
Choice)' and ‘Special Mention By Professional Jury in The International Feature
Film Category’ at the SCHLINGEL International Children's Film Festival in
Germany.
Madhu Chopra says, “This film is very special
because it addresses the far reaching consequences for children when adults
make harsh decisions. Also this story is relevant globally in its appeal. A
very well made movie.
Director Paakhi Tyrewala adds, “We live in a tough
world. Sometime it's easier to just give up. Hope is what we all need. Like one
of the characters in the film says, 'It's never all dark, there is always
light.' Pahuna is full of hope. That is the reason it resonated with audiences
young and old across the globe and now it's releasing in the country it was
made and meant for.”

Purple Pebble Pictures, Pahuna – The Little Visitors is written and directed by
Paakhi A Tyrewala and is scheduled to release on 7th
December, 2018.
