Shyamoli Sanghi, one of India’s youngest YouTube
sensation, has created quite a stir with her original songs. Her two singles
released by ZEE Music had amassed whopping views on YouTube. ‘Tu Na Aaya’, her
swaggering, singing debut had amassed over 13
million views on YouTube in a month and her second attempt ‘Dorr’, clocked over
five million in its first week. Thus, it comes as no surprise that she is often
referred to as the Hannah Montana of India.
Shyamoli is back again to create history with her fourth single titled,
Ladka Mamuli Sa, written by the legend Irshad Kamil and composed by Ravi
Singhal. Also, for the first time ever, an Indian original song has been
recorded live with a 60-piece orchestra by
the Budapest Symphony Orchestra in Hungary.
The song takes you on a journey of a unique love
story of a girl who falls in love with a very simple and ordinary boy but in an
extraordinary way. The song highlights how a girl meets a guy who isn’t the
kind of lover she dreamt of but manages to ground her and makes her fall in
love. While on their journey of love and happiness they manage to send out a
strong message to the world to save our trees and protect the environment. Love
can definitely make this world a better place and this is what Ladka Mamuli Sa
through its engaging animated video, meaningful lyrics and touching melody
conveys.
Speaking at the launch of her fourth single the
elated 20-year-old Shyamoli shared, “I think that the
combination of the song’s intricate orchestration by the Budapest Symphony
Orchestra, lilting melody and unique lyrical imagery makes it extremely
enchanting. I’m honoured to work with the veteran lyricist Irsham Kamil Sir who
gave us this unique interpretation of love that we often imagine a dream of an
extraordinary person who will enter our lives and immediately sweep us off our
feet, but more often than not, it is someone who is seemingly normal but is
extraordinary in a way we perceive them that makes us fall in love with them.
This was relatable and was brought to life by both Irshad Sir and Ravi. Also,
the intense orchestral composition warranted nothing short of a live orchestral
recording to justify its intensity. Singing in Budapest along with such a
well-prepared, powerful orchestra was truly a dream come true.”
Speaking further on the one of it’s kind animated
video and the strong message that it send out, Shyamoli further adds, “I think
the concept of the video definitely resonates with me because I realize how
imperative it is to protect our environment and nature around us. As we all
know and hopefully believe, climate change is the harshest reality of today and
we must leave no stone unturned to make sure that we try to conserve whatever
resources we have on this planet. The video of the song conveys this idea
through the story of two people who deeply care about our environment”
The legendary lyricist Irshad Kamil shared,
“Shyamoli is an extremely talented young girl and her selection of song is
commendable. When I heard the intense orchestral composition, I knew this had
to tell a powerful story. From there was born the idea of a unique love story.
We traveled all the way to Budapest to record it live and I feel the harmony along with the lyrics
will definitely strike a chord with the audience”.
Shyamoli’s academic prowess is equally at par as
she currently pursuing her Ivy League double major, at Stanford University
California. The song is released by ZEE music company in India and is marketed
by Masala Chai Productions.
